After a hiatus in Pakistan, the Realme 12 4G Launches the Realme number series is making a comeback with two new models: the Realme 12+ and the Realme 12 4G. While the Realme 12+ aligns closely with its global counterpart as a 5G device powered by the Dimensity 7050 chipset, the Realme 12 4G introduces a distinct offering tailored for the local market.
The Realme 12 4G is available in Pioneer Green and Skyline Blue color variants, featuring notable changes from the global Realme 12 series. It runs on the Snapdragon 685 chipset, designed on a 6nm architecture with a 4G modem (X11, Cat 13), akin to the Realme 12 Lite. However, unlike its global counterpart, this model deviates significantly in its design and specifications.
Instead of the usual LCD, the Realme 12 4G Launches, and sports a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,080 x 2,400px resolution. It boasts enhanced brightness up to 2,000 nits peak and includes an unspecified strengthened glass. The fingerprint reader has been relocated from the side to under the display.
Unlike the global version’s 108MP camera, the Realme 12 4G opts for a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor (1/1.95”), accompanied by an f/1.9 lens with OIS and limited to 1080p @ 30fps video recording. Additionally, it features a 2MP depth sensor and a 16MP front-facing camera module.
The Realme 12 4G retains practical features such as a dedicated microSD slot, dual SIM support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and dual speakers. It maintains basic dust and water resistance (IP54) as well.
A notable upgrade is seen in the battery department with a 5,000mAh capacity now supporting 67W fast charging. Bundled with an 80W charger, the Realme 12 4G achieves impressive charging speeds (1-50% in 19 minutes, 100% in 47 minutes), surpassing the capabilities of other models in the series.
The Realme 12+ will be available through Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok, priced at PKR 75,000 for the 8/256GB variant.
The Realme 12 4G offers configurations of 8/128GB and 8/256GB, starting at PKR 60,000 (approximately USD 215 / EUR 200 / INR 18,000). This positions it competitively within the market, considering its unique specifications tailored for the Pakistani audience.
With its tailored specifications, competitive pricing, and robust feature set, the Realme 12 4G emerges as a strong contender in the Pakistani smartphone market. It addresses local preferences while offering significant upgrades over its predecessors and counterparts in other regions.
