Huawei Pura 70 series has reported a remarkable 125% increase in shipments year-over-year, surpassing the previous P60 series. This surge indicates strong performance within the Chinese consumer market, positioning the series on track to reach a target of 10 million unit shipments.
According to SINA Technology, as of July 16, 2024, the shipment volume for the Huawei Pura 70 series has significantly outpaced that of the P60 lineup, which launched last year. This aligns with analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s expectations for mass shipments of the new models in the first half of the year. Kuo attributes this growth to the introduction of new 5G Kirin chips, predicting a 100% year-over-year increase compared to the P60.
Earlier leaks hinted at the Huawei Pura 70 series reaching sales of over 2 million units, and the latest reports further confirm this optimistic outlook. Analysts believe that the new lineup could potentially outperform the Mate 60 series, which sold 6.2 million units in just five months after release.
With projections indicating the Pura 70 series may ship over 10 million units in 2024, it is expected to follow in the footsteps of the Mate 60 series and become a focal point in the consumer electronics market.
The Huawei Pura 70 series consists of four models: Standard, Pro, Pro+, and Ultra. Notably, the Pro+ and Ultra variants feature dual satellite communication capabilities, allowing two-way SMS and calling. The Ultra model is distinguished by a retractable lens, significantly enhancing the photography experience for users.
